One of the major challenges of this project was to rejuvenate a 1900s kitchen while retaining the original character of the architecture in harmony with the rest of the house.
Since the clients wanted a fairly modern black and white look, we chose to incorporate the pattern of ceiling beams present elsewhere in the house. In order to add storage space in spite of the fairly restrictive square footage of the room, we had to add this element in height. This enabled us to maximise every inch available without changing the habits of the clients.
